Brad Stratton is the CEO and President of Overland Park Wealth Management. He guides the firm in strategic thinking and also works with clients and their advisors in managing their wealth prudently.
Prior to forming Overland Park Wealth Management, Brad was Vice President-Senior Financial Advisor and Resident Director at Merrill Lynch. In his 20 years at Merrill Lynch, he worked with individual and institutional clients in the areas of investment and financial planning along with income tax, estate planning and charitable giving strategies. Prior to Merrill Lynch, he was an investment portfolio manager with Stratton Capital Management, Inc.
Brad is a third generation investment professional who takes pride in helping clients reach their financial goals through a structured and cost efficient approach to portfolio management.
Brad received his B.S. Degree in Business from Emporia State University and his Certificate in Financial Planning from Florida State University.
He is a publicly elected member of the Shawnee Mission School District - Board of Education (2nd term) and a governor-appointed trustee on the board of the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System (KPERS). Previous civic leadership roles include serving as the board chair of the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce, United Community Services of Johnson County, REACH Healthcare Foundation, reStart, Inc., Leadership Kansas, Village Church Endowment Trust and the Shawnee Mission Education Foundation. Other community involvement includes a long time member of the Rotary Club of Overland Park South.
Outside the Office
Brad enjoys civic and political activities, playing an occassional round of golf, taking in a KC Royals game, or enjoying traveling with family and friends.
